Conduct a search of the Internet, consult professional journals or interview a professional in the field. Research the status of health information exchange implementation in your state. Connect your findings to course objectives. The second paper is due to the Drop box in Week 5.(required) Topic: Research electronic health record functionality standards or certification. Write a paper describing how you would incorporate your findings into the EHR selection and decision-making process. Sources include the HL7 EHR Functional Model, CCHIT certification criteria and other organizations offering EHR certification. The third paper is due to the Dropbox in Week 6. (Required) Topic: Research the HIMSS Davies Award winners. Review the case study for one of them. Compare their experience with the learning from this course. Course Project
